How to use your Event Cinemas vouchers

Your vouchers can be used at any EVENT Cinemas, Rialto Newmarket or Rialto Dunedin, and for any movie (subject to the restrictions as outlined in the terms and conditions). To redeem your vouchers you can either:

Go straight to the cinema

1. Before heading in, check on the EVENT Cinemas website that there are still tickets available for the session you want to go to and that the movie isn’t a Special Event.
2. Print out your vouchers or show your vouchers on your phone at the ticket counter. 
3. The staff will exchange them for tickets for a session for you. Simple!

Book tickets on the EVENT Cinemas website (online booking fees apply)

1. Head to the EVENT Cinemas website.
2. Pick the movie and cinema you want to go to.
3. Pick the session you want to go to. Before you go any further just check:
   • If you’ve bought an off-peak voucher, the session is not after 5pm on a Friday or Saturday, or on a public holiday. Anytime voucher – no problem!
   • Is the session a Special Event, Gold Class or boutique? You can not use vouchers for these sessions. 
   • If the session is IMAX, VMAX or 3D you can use your vouchers, but you’ll need to pay an upgrade.
4.  Choose your seats.
5. On the ticket page, click on the button that says “I have a voucher/code” then enter the long code showing on your first voucher, press submit then add the related pin. 
6. Continue adding any other vouchers you want to use for this session. You'll see any booking or upgrade fees showing on this page.
7. Press proceed, add food & beverage if you want then pay the online booking fee and any upgrades you might have been charged.
8. EVENT Cinemas will send you your tickets.
